The Tiger Forex Report – Week of 04/14 – 04/18/2025

The DXY Bears are slamming support and a test of the downside target level is not out of the question this week. A digestive phase is overdue, but be careful trying to Buy into this lower trend. Volatility is sure to put even the most seasoned of traders to the test over the next few weeks.

Crude Oil Bears are in control and another leg lower is expected to press new move lows down into the critical support band over the next few weeks.

30yr T-Bond traders are scratching their heads as Yields are swinging around violently. More similar market action is on the horizon. The best advice is to get in and out fast until a viable trend move is confirmed.

EURUSD Weekly Outlook:

The EURUSD Bulls are on the move and ready to make another new move high. A run up to test the upside target #1 is on the agenda this week. Not much more is likely out of this FX pair. Technically this market looks like a raging Bull. However, this market is a Bull in Bears clothing. Recent market conditions have helped to boost volatility, but this is a double-edged sword. This market is likely to reverse gears in a heartbeat so get ready for just as violent a sell off to occur in the weeks to come. Since it is a holiday week momentum may go on pause as we get closer to the holiday weekend so be mindful of this. Keep your eye on Yields. If there is a strong rise in Yields the EURUSD will be ready to slam support again and take out the downside breakout level in a blink of an eye. If this occurs it would be a good indication that the overall long-term Bear trend will be back in control before you know it.

GBPUSD Weekly Outlook:

New move highs are very likely in the GBPUSD this week as the market tries to press the trend higher. It is a weak Bull, and the rally is likely to run out of gas quick. Buying pressure is still in full force, and a run up to challenge the UTL #2 may occur this week. This should put a cap on the rally. Remember that the UK economy is on the verge of collapsing under the wieght of out of control debt and economic breakdown. So be nimble. If there is a valid Sell signal up at these higher leves it should not be taken lightly. A turn to support is on the horizno because the overall trend is an aggressive Bear. Last week’s low may be in play before you know it, and keeping your protective Stops tight is advised.

USDCHF Weekly Outlook:

Is the slide overdone? Probably not. Talk about a Bearish trend in the USDCHF. Big swings are on the horizon so hold onto your hat’s folks. It will be a tough trade to buy into, and the advice for the short week is to wait for a bounce to sell into. The upside correction band is the extreme for a corrective move, and it could be a good place to look to Sell this market. Technically this market is due for a consolidation period, but volatility will probably override this idea. One thing to look out for is if the Bears can get under the downside target level. Trading below here could build and press new move lows all the way toward the 0.7900 area.

USDJPY Weekly Outlook:

Lower Crude Oil and lower Yields are helping the USDJPY Bears hit support hard. The trend is expected to continue. A test of the downside target level is in the cards for the week ahead. Be careful trying to buy into this area. Bearish momentum is strong, and a Sell rally forecast remains in effect. Downward pressure is intense under market conditions right now, and the DTL #2 could be reached in the short-term future. If you are looking to Buy then make sure you have a valid Buy signal before acting. Only a violation of the upside breakout level confirms strength for a corrective rally that could hit the upside target level.

AUDUSD Weekly Outlook:

Like a balloon under water the Bulls turned the AUDUSD around in a big way last week. There is likely to be a bit of follow through early this week. A challenge of the upside breakout level should occur, and a sustained trade above this level could have the Bulls pressing the upside correction zone. This is all that is expected from the Bulls unless the USD really gets hit hard. Fundamental realities are still present, and the Aussie economy should weigh heavy on the AUD. Remember that the trend is an overall Bear, and a turn to support could have this market back near last week’s low quickly. It is a holiday week as well so take that into account as we get closer to the end of the trading week.

NZDUSD Weekly Outlook:

The Bulls have extended the lower and higher extremes for the range that this market has been in for the last four months. A challenge of the upside breakout level is likely as the USD is under extreme pressure. The upside target level #1 is a good corrective area to gravitate toward over the next couple of weeks. If there is a close above here the NZDUSD should have enough fresh interest to drive through resistance and make a play for the Upside Target #1. If the market somehow slams support into the next universe than it will take a close below the downside breakout level to confirm this forecast. If the market closes below this area there will be an update.

USDCAD Weekly Outlook:

USDCAD Bears are capitalizing on the USD Bearish momentum. What goes down goes up, but no sign yet. The market is leaning on support hard, and the DTL #1 is likely to get probed this week. Be careful trying to buy into this move. Selling pressure in this currency is on fire, and this sell off may hit the DTL #2 before there is a bounce or consolidation. Be ready though. Canada’s economy is falling apart at the seams, and a big bounce is likely even if the USD is still under pressure. Diverging major market pairs is the call for the 2nd and 3rd quarters for 2025. Only a close above the upside breakout level would confirm enough strength to get back to the longer-term Bull trend. Get ready to Rock & Roll in this FX pair for months to come.
