CRM was downgraded today and is down about 1%. We've now sold a cash-secured-put in CRM 5 times since November 30th, each time having it expire worthless for a max profit, profiting $8.55 total over that time as the stock actually has declined or consolidated. CRM has continued to hold support at the $218.35 price point, which is the high from August 25th. We're gonna do it again this morning by selling a $217.50 put that expires Friday for about a $2.15 credit. This should be a cash secured put, meaning we will take delivery of the 100 shares per contract for our long term equity if assigned.

If you don't like options then I would buy a partial position here of CRM. The worry is that if the market pulls back from all-time highs, then everything will go south with it for the short term. That's why I stress a partial position. The S&P Futures are above 3,800 right now. If stocks continue to go up then there is no harm in buying more partial positions at a higher price in the future when you already have profits built in, as opposed to the risk of buying a full position right now and having the market pull back sharply from all-time highs when the economy is still facing many hardships.

Piper Sandler downgraded CRM from overweight to neutral, and moved their price target from $278 to $242, which is still almost a 10% premium from current prices. One particular negative note that did catch my eye. Analyst Brent Bracelin notes that the $43B invested in the Slack and Tableau acquisitions contributed to the fully diluted share count "poised to increase 24% or approximately 194M additional shares from July 2019."

Sell a Jan 15th CRM $217.50 Put for credit of about $2.15. This should be a cash secured put, meaning we plan to take delivery of 100 shares for $21,750 of buying power. We would then hold this position in our long term equity portfolio.

Disney is trading higher today and continues to push the upward bounds of its consolidation area. I like the way this is trading. Disney has earnings February 11th.

Uber is trading up nicely today after getting an upgrade from Mogran Stanley, raising their price target to $68 from $49 and keeping the overweight rating. Uber is also trading nicely towards the upper boundary of its consolidation and looks poised to accelerate as the economy opens back up.

McDonald's had a nice day to the upside Friday. We want to see it trade higher with conviction.

Earnings season really starts to kick into full gear this week, with the banks on Friday.

The equity is volatile and moving a lot today so just make sure you look at the bid/ask before you make your trade and get a fair price whatever it is. This should be a cash secured put, meaning you have the cash to buy 100 shares if assigned the equity, which we would then hold as a position in our long term equity portfolio. CRM is trading at $220.00.
