Markets are trading lower this morning ahead of the open, with 8 days until the presidential election. COVID-19 cases are setting records on a daily basis in America, with an average of 69,804 cases per day over the last 7 days, an increase of 32 percent from the average just two weeks earlier. On Friday and Saturday, America had 83K+ cases on back to back days. El Paso hospitals have reached capacity and Governor Abbott of Texas is now scrambling to open alternative care sites to care to expand hospital capacity. Regardless of what the government does when it comes to lockdowns, business is not getting back to anything resembling normal until we get this virus under control. Wear a mask. Social distance. Wash your hands. These simple practices can help us all reduce the virus numbers until a vaccine arrives, which will help the economy and save lives. Hopes for a vaccine remain high, yet more time is needed until we get a vaccine approved, produced, and then distributed to people willing to take it.

The 10-Year Note traded lower last week with the yield rising above 0.80%. The Note market seems to be leading the general market in realizing the stimulus that will eventually be on the way, even if that means waiting until a new congress is in session.

We get the first reading of third quarter GDP Thursday morning. And we get 186 companies in the S&P 500 reporting earnings this week. FB, AAPL, AMZN, and GOOG all report Thursday, along with many others this week. I highlight some of the companies with earnings at the bottom of this letter.

This should be an exciting week in the markets, with massive earnings, GDP Thursday, and a Presidential Election 8 days away and stimulus still in the headlines. We will look to add to our equity positions if given the right opportunity, and have some possible options trades as well this week. Stay tuned for updates this week!

UBER traded higher with volume last week. We want to see Uber get above its recent highs of $38.35 to $38.78, next after that would be $41.86 from February. Uber announces their earnings November 5th.

STZ traded lower with light volume. We will look for STZ to hold above its gap from their earnings on July 1st of $175.11. CGC traded higher with volume. CGC reports their numbers November 9th, which could impact STZ.

DIS traded mixed with low volume. Disney has formed a nice up-trend channel and is nearing the lower boundary of that channel. We will look for Disney to trade higher with volume. Disney announces their earnings November 12th.
