The Tiger Forex Report – Week of 02/10 – 02/14/2025

The DXY is in a tizzy with the moves in DC happening at light speed. Get ready for a whipsaw market environment moving forward for a few months to come.

Crude Oil is grinding lower and the Bears are most likely going to remain in control. A sell rally forecast is the highest probable stance until the summer.

30yr T-Bond Yields spiked through resistance last week. If the Bulls can maintain momentum the market should get up into the upside correction zone over the next week or two.

EURUSD Weekly Outlook:

Is this market ready for a big bounce? Probably not, but there is the potential for some spiking rallies over the next month or two. The EURUSD is ripe for a run at resistance, and the upside correction is a very good area for this currency to rally back into. This is all that is likely for a higher trending market. Realities are what they are, and the EU is fundamentally a Financial Disaster. That means this FX pair is Bearish for the long-term. Parity is a target for this market. So be mindful of this if you are playing the long side of the market. Sell off moves are expected to be much faster and bigger than any surges to the upside for the next few months.

GBPUSD Weekly Outlook:

Expect more of the same for this market for the next few tradding sessions. It is a range traders delight, and a swign traders nightmare. Get used to it folks. There are a ton of things in the works that need to be finalized. Then the trends begin. Overall the GBPUSD remains in a sell rally outlook. The trend is your friend, and you better belive it buster. Although the Pound looks like it wants to turn and get a big correction going it is most likely a trap. If you are Bullish make sure you have a strong buy signal, and can justify it with fundamentals. It is for this reason that this FX pair is more likely to fall back toward the downside correction area than breach the upaide breakout level. If Yields fall sharply then maybe this type of move may arise.

USDCHF Weekly Outlook:

Sleepy trading ahead for this flight to quality currency. The USDCHF is looking to digest global fundamentals and could be a tough disappointing trade for the rest of the month. Do not force any trades in the weeks to come. There is not much on the table for any winning trades, buy the ability to lose is very high. It would be advisable to wait for either a news driven event for this FX pair or a valid trading signal. Even though the trend has been Bullish it is now digesting. If there is going to be a solid move it will be if the market falls below the downside breakout level. Should this occur there is a high probability that the new leg lower could reach the Bearish correction band.

USDJPY Weekly Outlook:

The Bears are in control of the USDJPY with Crude Oil softening and Yields starting to pull back also. More downside action is on the menu for the week ahead. Could this be the week the market touches the critical BOJ threshold level? We shall see. Another test of support is expected this week, and this should help to drive the market back further. Only a close below the downside correction band would confirm extended weakness. Look out below! Our next big downside target is the monthly directional pivot level.

AUDUSD Weekly Outlook:

Is this market bottoming? Probably not. The AUDUSD is riding support and is likely to continue to do so. This market is ready for a corrective rally technically. However, fundamentals are holding this FX pair down. Below the upside breakout level, it will be a choppy trade as the Bears try and fall through support. Only a close above the upside breakout level would confirm strength for a rally toward the upside correction zone. If Yields get a strong pullback there is a chance the Bulls can get a move like this going.

NZDUSD Weekly Outlook:

This is another hard-pressed case. The NZDUSD is likely to continue to drift along support probing for new move lows. Watch Yields. If they keep softening there is a chance for the Bulls to get a rally going on in this market. The upside correction band is most likely going to put a cap on a higher trending market. Fundamentals are very bleak for this currency. However, if there is a close above the upside correction band then the Bulls may spark a fresh trend move.

USDCAD Weekly Outlook:

Wow what volatility! Tariff on…tariff off. There may be another test of support this week so be cautious buying into this market. Another test of the downside correction band is on the menu. Be careful not to fade a slide into this region. Trading down in this area could fall apart fast. A continued move toward the downside breakout level is very possible if the DXY starts to slide this week. Only a challenge of the critical trend resistance area would reverse the outlook to Bullish again. If this occurs the longer-term trend will be back in gear looking to take this market up toward the 1.4925 level.
