The Tiger Forex Report – Week of 06/29 – 07/03/2026

The DXY fell off the upside resistance band, and a short-term profit taking move is on the agenda.

Crude Oil Bears are pressing serious support, and the big question is can the trend keep going? Yes, the trend is in motion. A sell rally posture is the call for the week ahead.

30yr T-Bond Yields are in retreat, and more of the same is in the cards for the week ahead.

EURUSD Weekly Outlook:

EURUSD Bulls are setting the pace this week and are looking for a profit taking correction to continue. It is a holiday week, and trading is likely to get very thin as we get closer to the end of the week. A run for the upside resistance band is the call, but do not get too caught up in a Bullish move. Momentum is expected to fall apart. There is a big chance that this currency will be stuck in a range trade as we coast through the next few days. Get ready for America’s Birthday folks. By Wednesday most market action is expected to fizzle out. It is what it is. Get ready for next week when the Third quarter starts to kick into gear.

GBPUSD Weekly Outlook:

The GBPUSD is bouning off the downside support band, and a digestive phase is the call for the week ahead. Sorry folks, but it is a holiday week and the World Cup is going on. Facts are facts and the world is not too interested in market movement right now. Trading above last week’s low puts this FX pair in limbo for a digestive trade back to the upside resistance band. A choppy range trade is the call for this week. If there is a valid signals there will be an update, but it is unlikely. You have been warned. This week is a test for newer traders. Discipline wins the game, and this week is a test. If you are looking for opprtunities in dying volatility and volume you are failing the test. Let the market come to you and get ready for action next week. There is no loss of news to trade off, but this week it will most likely yield slim pickings.

USDCHF Weekly Outlook:

USDCHF Bulls have run out of gas, and a digestive trade is the call for the week ahead. USD strength has really diverted the long-term trend in this currency. Not much is expected except for a sideways chop-fest. Wait for a valid signal. Trend dynamics are mixed, and USD strength is not making things easier. Expect a digestive range trade this week. Only a rally above last week’s high would change things. A rally above this area would indicate that higher move highs are going to press the recent Bullish trend to extremes. All of you Bears are in trouble right now, and it is advisable to wait for a strong signal before fading the trend.

USDJPY Weekly Outlook:

Well, what can you say about the USDJPY. USD strength is holding this currency up while Yields retreat and Crude Oil takes a dive. Trading this week is most likely going to flatline along the upside target level. This is a key area for the market. Mathematically, the market should be pulling back, but it is trading in a thin range near the highs of the trend. It would be best to stand back from this market, and wait for a valid Sell signal. Even with USD strength this currency is overcooked. Get ready for a snapback slide that could drag this market all the way back to the 150.00 level over the next few months. Yes, that is right folks. You read that lower target correctly.

AUDUSD Weekly Outlook:

Bearish momentum is running out of steam, and a choppy trade around the downside support band is most likely going to be what occurs this week. This is a good week to step back and wait for a valid signal to develop. Next week would be best for this to unfold. Except for Monday and Tuesday there is very little potential for Bulls or Bears to capitalize on any market moves. It would be best to sit back and plan your holiday grilling menu than try and make money trading this FX pair. Odds are really good that following this plan may cost a few bucks, but it will be tasty. If you decide to trade this market over the next few days it will most likely be costly, but without the full tummy. Prep the grill and walk away from the screen if the AUDUSD is your currency of choice. A sell rally forecast remains, but it is advisable to stand back until next week. Enjoy America’s Birthday week and be grateful for living in the best country in world history. My plan is to play golf Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Then next Monday I will be ready to take on Quarter #3 for 2026. Maybe golf is not your thing, but a hobby this week may be cheaper than trying to pull money out of the market this week. Just saying.

NZDUSD Weekly Outlook:

The NZDUSD fell out of bed again last week, and the trend remains a Bear. Now let’s be serious folks. It is a holiday week and trading is expected to get thin and sloppy. Most likely there will be a sideways trade this week. It is advisable to just walk away from the table and come back next week. If you are looking for fireworks there will be plenty this week, but not in the markets. Holiday markets are meant to be left alone. Only newbies and gamblers are chasing money during a week like this. And all I can tell you is that Pros do not walk away during weeks like this just to take off for a holiday. Pros take off weeks like this because it is the smart thing to do. It is your choice. Be disciplined or greedy. Personally, I appreciate the greedy traders. If it were not for people like that, I would have to work harder at finding opportunities to capitalize on. I will not be on the bench this week…I will be enjoying life. Then I will be back to pick off the greedy traders that will be chasing trades next week to try and make up for their losses from this week.

USDCAD Weekly Outlook:

Well the 4th of July holiday may be the only thing that will keep the USDCAD from collapsing even more this week. A short-term pause is expected before the Bulls blaze a path higher. Canadian economic factors are dismal, and it is just making the Bulls hungry for more. The best advice is to stay away this week, or wait for a break to buy. If there is a nice pullback just sit back and wait for a valid buy signal to capitalize on. That is the best advice for the week ahead. There will be plenty of opportunities in the weeks to come, but not this week. Do not become fodder for the algos. This week is an exercise in discipline. Will you pass the test, or lose cash? Your choice.
